About
The Crimson Circle is an all-male service organization composed of 35 sophomore, junior, and senior men from Loyola Marymount University. Founded in 1929, the Circle is the oldest service group on campus and has a proud tradition of serving the university and surrounding communities in Los Angeles.
Crimsons are men for and with others, living out the Jesuit principles and sharing a brotherhood that makes the experience of service all the more meaningful. Sporting the traditional Crimson sweaters that have been a fixture on the campus for over 75 years and are passed down from member to member, the men of the Crimson Circle seek to have a positive influence on their surroundings while building lifelong relationships based on the foundation of service.
Mission: Man for Others
Service, loyalty, and brotherhood are hallmarks of the Crimson Circle. Dating back to 1929, the Circle has had a tradition of prestigious and diverse membership. The Circle dedicates their time and expresses many outstanding talents that contribute to giving service to Loyola Marymount University and the outside community.
The Crimson Circle mentors and tutors at St. Columbkille Elementary School in Watts, Ca, works with Underwrings, teaches with Loyola Project, puts on Charity Ball, paints the LMU letters on the bluff, and much more around the campus and Los Angeles. To be a Crimson, is to be a man for others.
Prayer for Generosity
Lord, teach me to be generous.
teach me to serve you as you deserve;
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and to not ask for reward,
save that of knowing that I do your will.
